Hermes Spring Summer 2027 Menswear Collection: A Breezy Take On The Classics
This Paris Fashion Week, Hermes held a showroom presentation featuring 40 looks designed by their in-house team for the House’s Spring Summer 2027 menswear collection.
This season, the newest Hermes Spring Summer 2027 menswear collection was left to the capable hands of the French label’s in-house studio, following the departure of its longtime creative director, Veronique Nichanian. While the much anticipated debut of Grace Wales Bonner is yet to come (the newly appointed creative director will showcase her first collection for Hermes in January 2027), the in-house studio team successfully delivered.
Presented in a Paris showroom, the 40-look collection drew inspiration from the sun-drenched ease of Southern France, with that breezy spirit injected into Hermes’ refined vocabulary. With much of Europe reporting sweltering heat this time around, the collection arrived just in time to suggest how men can dress for the summer in a polished yet effortless manner.

Lightness in the air
An unmistakable sense of airiness coursed through the collection. Think: collarless button-down shirts, paired with cropped high-waisted trousers, and a knitted jumper in pink worn over a low-cut linen tank in a delicious shade of brown. For a collection that took inspiration from the great outdoors, this simply hits the nail on the head with its featherweight tailoring.
Sellier stitching on airy fabrics, and other fine details
Craftsmanship is at the heart of Hermes, and this collection was no exception. While this collection might have leaned into ease and lightweight fabrics, the true distinction resides up close. The same sellier stitching on Hermes leather bags can be found across airy fabric; some trousers come with drawstrings; and leather jackets have perforated holes for breeze, all proving that hot summer days were in fact thoughtfully considered when designing each piece.
Silk ties for summer
Rising temperatures have gotten everyone rethinking summer dressing. Hermes’ response? Silk ties – cropped, shrunken, and knotted around the neck. The perfect solution for the heat while keeping things chic, we must say.
Timeless, effortless tailoring
Yes, even tailored menswear was given a subtle, fresh update in this collection. Parka jackets were edited for summer outings with featherlight fabrics and openwork details. There were also suits, polished yet unlined for ease, arriving in beige, brown, greyish white, and windowpane checks. That’s the expertise of Hermes, where elegance never comes at the expense of comfort and function.
Supple bags, breathable shoes
The bags embraced a softer attitude, with supple bucket silhouettes sitting alongside updated iterations of the Birkin (one highlight was a version in brown with exquisite leatherwork and detailing). Footwear echoed the collection’s emphasis on breathability: leather sandals reinforced the easy summer mood, while polished dress shoes featured subtle perforated detailing – we can already imagine how transformational these can be when paired with different coloured socks.
