Show Notes: Hermes Spring Summer 2025
Artistic director Nadege Vanhee created a sensuous-meets-utilitarian vision for the Hermes woman.

When: September 28, 2024
Where: The Garde Republicaine, which has been the French maison's go-to location in recent years - this season, it had been converted into a labyrinth of rooms, with wood-framed canvas partitions and carpeting in the season’s colour: bougainvillea pink.

The Takeaway: Light, versatile layers was the name of the game for this collection. Key elements in Hermes womenswear artistic director Nadege Vanhee's latest work were the sensuous sheer mesh skirts with side zips that transform into a maxi skirt shape, combining lightness with sturdiness. She paired them with lightweight leather jackets, inspired by activewear, styled casually with bra tops or belted anoraks. And in another nod to the breeziness people look for in summer collections, she also incorporated Hermes' signature silk twill scarves into effortless shirtdresses and rompers.
The collection was predominantly coloured in all shades of the desert (read: super layerable and easy to match) - from light khakis to rich terracotta browns, save for the soft fuchsia pink looks in the middle, where bandeaus and bra tops were paired with high-waisted jeans that had boy shorts peeking out - youthful, with a side serving of street edge.
The items we’re eyeing: The cute clog sandals, the vacation-perfect Sabot Osier wicker bags, the cuffs sporting XL Medor studs, and what looks to be a revival of the East-West shoulder Birkin launched during Jean Paul Gaultier's era at Hermes - to which we say, YES!
The looks:
