Indonesian Clothing Brands Gen Zs Are Loving Right Now

Independent Southeast Asian labels are having their moment – and it’s not just Vietnam and Thailand.

While Vietnamese and Thai labels have taken off with the Gen Z crowd in recent years, savvy shoppers know that there are real gems from Indonesia too. Thanks to popular events like Public Garden and Me-You Market really hitting the mainstream in the past year or so, Singaporeans have been slowly introduced to the archipelagic nation’s rising creative talents.

Those really paying attention might’ve also clocked the brands stocked at Zabu Boutique, the buzzy vintage store at Burlington Square that doubles as a showroom for emerging regional labels. Last August, it spotlighted small Jakarta-based fashion brand Skins, followed by cult favourites Drunk Dad in September and Tellavision in October – yes, the one behind that viral star-shaped tote bag in 2023.

Ahead, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite Indonesian brands that Gen Zs can’t get enough of right now.

SKINS

Public Garden regulars will already know Skins – the label has been a staple at the fair for years, and focuses on trend-driven basics that actually work in everyday life. Their latest holiday collection, Souvenir, feels straight out of a Pinterest board. The asymmetrical batwing top and the bolero plus lace tank set? Definitely one for the office sirens.

Soft girls, this one’s for you - they’ve got lots of lace, pointelle (a delicate, lightweight knit fabric) and Peter Pan collars that have been all the rage the past year.

Designed and made in Indonesia, the brand isn’t afraid of a little colour or fun – just look at their Summer 2025 collection, which gave us serious Paloma Wool and Tank Air energy without the hefty price tag.

DRUNK DAD

Indie fashion fans will likely already have Drunk Dad on their radar. The Jakarta-based label runs its own cosy showroom that also spotlights fellow local brands, but what Drunk Dad does best is turning everyday staples into quiet statement pieces.

Take the Rumer shirt jacket (above, on left) for example: a classic button-down, reworked with an asymmetrical placket for men, and a curved cut with puffed sleeves and dainty pearl buttons for women. The result? A matching couples-fit moment that’s playful and cute, without tipping into tacky.

ARUS

Consider this the region’s answer to Skims. With lounge and activewear that wouldn’t look out of place at the gym or on a first date, it’s no surprise they’re becoming a go-to for Gen Z pilates princesses everywhere. They collaborated with OMO last October too, so you know it’s cool girl-certified.

If you know Tellavision for one thing, it’s probably the Studded Star Tote Bag that went viral in 2023. Don’t sleep on their newer collections though, which all double down on that whimsical vibe that they’re most known for – see their latest collaboration with fellow Jakarta-based floral studio, Kamiku Gardens, which features dreamy floral prints that look almost otherworldly.

Maximalists, this one is for you. Bertjorak is a playground of bold colours, eccentric prints and unabashed fun. If you’re deep into astrology, their Astro Allure collection – inspired by the horoscope signs – will be right up your alley too. Aquarius sun, Libra rising… you can buy ‘em all to tap into the energy you want to channel.

3MONGKIS

Jakarta’s 3mongkis has mastered the art of the social-ready staple. It’s less about basic essentials and more about structural play—think utilitarian vests, asymmetrical knits, and oversized tailoring that feels at home in a Haji Lane cafe or a Jakarta art fair. For 2026, it’s the uniform for those who want their wardrobe to look effortless without actually being boring.
