The Secret Behind Jennifer Connelly's Winning Looks At Cannes
The actress' secret weapon on the red carpet: her fashion BFF Nicolas Ghesquiere.

Move over Bennifer. Another Jennifer pairing is stealing our attention on the red carpet action. We're talking about actress Jennifer Connelly and Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere who are flexing their dynamic relationship for the former's appearances at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
Connelly has been a long-time muse to the French designer since his days at Balenciaga, even appearing in the Fall/Winter 2009 campaign for the house. Now that Ghesquiere is helming the creative reins of the Louis Vuitton, Connelly has almost exclusively made her major appearance in a look by the designer.
The best avenue where one can see this endearing relationship is Connelly's Instagram account which she started on April 30. Almost every post features her in fits by the French house – including the custom jacquard gown that she donned for the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick which she co-stars in alongside Tom Cruise.

For the screening of Top Gun: Maverick on May 18, Connelly donned a custom blistered jacquard gown with silver threads by Ghesquiere. She kept her jewellery to a minimum and wore two High Jewellery rings from the house.
Earlier in the day during the movie's photocall, Connelly chose a more playful look comprising a sequin- and crystal-embroidered pinafore dress from Louis Vuitton's Fall/Winter 2022 collection with matching red knee-high boots.
