Kenzo Just Dropped The Debut Collection By Its New CD And It Includes A Collab With Vans

The outing marks the debut designs by the brand's new creative director Felipe Oliveira Baptista and looks set to be a hit on the retail floor – and among the Gen-Z set.

Kenzo has buddied up with California skateboarding label Vans to launch a brand new sneaker collection. Featuring bold floral prints from the Kenzo archives called 'Tulipes', this is the very first collaboration with Vans under the direction of Felipe Oliveira Baptista, who was appointed creative director of Kenzo in July last year.

A brilliant marriage between the two brands’ DNA, the iconic high-top Vans Sk8-Hi high-tops as well as the Old-Skool low-top sneakers are reimagined with Kenzo's colourful floral patterns. Each sneaker style comes in three prints and is available for both men and women.

Baptista has also created a capsule collection — his first for the Maison — with the same floral prints featuring heavily on T-shirts, hoodies, dresses, streetwear, bob hats, backpacks, scarves and more.

To complement Baptista’s debut, Kenzo is also releasing a limited-edition skateboard created together with The Skateroom. Only 150 pieces are available and 100 percent of the profits will be donated to a social skate project that aims to empower at-risk youth in Jamaica.
