Korean beauty e-tailer Evening Island has just debuted a brand new K-beauty skincare line that has its roots in a prominent medical centre in Korea.
Pyunkang Yul, which was launched in early 2016, has quickly become one of the top skincare brands in Korea because of its ties with the iconic Pyunkang hospital. A renowned Korean hospital established in 1998, Pyunkang Hospital is known for treating atopic skin ailments, such as atopic dermatitis.
The staggering number of patients suffering from atopic dermatitis led to the birth of Pyunkang Yul, where all of the brand's products are formulated after the exact prescriptions given to patients of the hospital.
Perfect for people who suffer from atopic skin issues like sensitivity, blemishes or rosacea, the brand believes in having minimal ingredients in their products to reduce the potential of having ingredients that might irritate skin. Hence, some of the products have as few as five ingredients, and none of the brand's products contain water, but are instead full of extracts from traditional Korean medicinal herbs, making the formulas concentrated and potent.
