If you were to see someone wearing a pair of flare pants with a bell-sleeved top and booties a few years ago, you'd most likely label that person as a fashion blogger at first glance. Ditto for someone in chokers, off-shoulder tops and tinted sunglasses. These days, however, the everyday uniforms of digital influencers and personalities such as Chriselle Lim, Camille Charriere have become so "influential" that fashion trends are revolving around them.
Take for instance Alice & Olivia. For its S/S '18 collection, the American label took its cues from the style playbook of women such as Yoyo Cao with its booties-meets-flare pants combination. As for the track pants look, which is a hot ticket item among this group, brands such as Monse and MSGM have given the sporty piece a high-low take by pairing them with more structured (read: couture-shaped) items like tiered and ruffled tops.
