We take a look at the insanely special 19 Puzzle re-edition bags and one new confetti design that are basically the reason to celebrate this style staple's anniversary, that’s set to drop this 29 May.
Few could have predicted its monumental impact when the Loewe Puzzle Bag first appeared on the Spring/Summer 2015 men’s runway as an expected underarm clutch. But it was later that season, on Jonathan Anderson's inaugural womenswear runway for the house, that the bag truly found its footing, transforming into its now-iconic, top-handled cuboidal form, which we all come to love.
To recap, its launch was nothing short of revolutionary. This wasn't just Anderson's first major accessories offering; it was the first new bag design from the venerable Spanish leather goods house since the 1980s.
Today, a decade of iconic style and innovation is certainly a cause worth celebrating with Loewe's new Puzzle 10 collection. This limited-edition series celebrates a decade of the bag's reign as an icon in art and culture, offering a captivating blend of heritage and contemporary design.

1. Loewe Puzzle 10 FW15 Runway Re-edition
The FW15 Runway Puzzle Bag features camaieu suede in gradients of pinks.
All we are craving right now is a tub of pink guava sorbet! As part of the house’s SS15 collection, the Runway re-edition is arranged as a colour spectrum in shades of pink — from bold fuchsia to pale coral and salmon — and formed in the softest, smoothest camaieu material. Love!
2. Loewe Puzzle 10 Cloud Re-edition
A cloud emoji in the form of a bag? We'll take it.
Up, up and away! Featured as part of the Spring Summer 2017 women’s collection, this playful floating cloud print is a direct homage to classic surrealist paintings. It is Loewe’s experimentation with the 20th-century Surrealist movement — taking familiar objects and manipulating or exaggerating them — that challenges the wearer to reconsider the nature of their own reality.
3. Loewe Puzzle 10 William Morris Re-edition
A lovely blend of nature's illustrations with punk details.
William Morris’ mantra, “to have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful,” is still relevant today as it was in the mid-19th century. Taking inspiration from Morris, who is famous for his floral and nature-inspired prints and home furnishings, the Puzzle brings two seemingly disparate movements together through placing a painted hare and a cluster of strawberry flowers, which mimic hand-painted leather jackets, with a chunky belt with silver eyelets borrowed from a biker jacket, and ‘shoulder flap’, replete with stud. It’s giving tough chic.
4. Loewe Puzzle 10 Polka Re-edition
The playful round circles work in stark contrast to the geometry of the Puzzle Bag.
For the FW18 runway collection, Loewe experimented with form and the subversion of silhouette as the theme. The Loewe Puzzle bag that accompanied this collection featured a geometric polka dot design, with each dot created using the intarsia technique to give an exceptionally refined result. These playful rounds work in stark contrast to the geometry of the Puzzle, sublimating its hallmark pattern.
5. Loewe Puzzle 10 Confetti
Every celebration should be completed with a handful of confetti, like this colourful Puzzle 10 Confetti bag.
All we need to usher in this celebration is confetti — and lots of it! Inspired by FW23 women’s runway show where Loewe collaborated with Italian artist Lara Favaretto, this Loewe Confetti bag is made of tiny rounds and diamonds of leather and laminated (leather!) in candy colours. Bet you couldn’t spot that at first!
