Loewe's Holiday Collection Will Reignite A Sense Of Childlike Wonder
For the second time, Loewe and Tokyo’s Suna Fujita unveil a holiday collection that evokes pure childlike wonder.
By Lucy Lauron,
Loewe teams up once again with Suna Fujita, the Kyoto-based ceramics studio led by a husband-and-wife duo, for their second holiday collaboration. Launching in-store and online on November 14, this whimsically charming collection features original illustrations and ceramics crafted by the couple, much like their first collaboration.
Suna Fujita’s squid motif is showcased on this Puzzle Fold XL bag as a leather marquetry inlay.
Spanning ready-to-wear, accessories, and homeware, it’s sure to elicit “oohs” and “aahs” from your gift recipients. Known for playful designs, Suna Fujita conjures dreamlike scenes straight out of a children’s book: adorable bunnies hop across metallic coin pouches, and whales drift across Puzzle and Pebble bags, all depicted as intricate leather marquetry inlays.
Perfectly timed as the trend of cute animal companions peaks, this collection includes new bag-charm companions, rekindling a sense of childlike wonder. Loewe also refreshes its Puzzle and Flamenco bags in new materials – deerskin, knits, and metallics – bringing added depth to these popular styles.
Doesn’t this ceramic sculpture remind you of The Little Prince?
Meanwhile, Suna Fujita’s craftsmanship shines in their ceramic pieces, where illustrations come to life in 3D as tableware and statuettes – like a charming submarine exploring the deep ocean.
With a tranquil air to these dreamlike illustrations, this collaboration is ideal for those whose heads are always among the clouds. Here are some favourites from the collection.
