MCM Launches New Monchhichi-Themed Bags – Peep All The Limited-Edition Styles Here
There’s also a Monchhichi meet and greet happening at a Singapore MCM boutique this November
Monchhichi fever has officially swept over the island. If you aren’t already obsessed with the furry-headed Japanese character yourself, you probably have at least one friend who is. Just like with the previous hype for Labubu, this current craze is starting to burgeon past plush dolls and collectible figurines – with German luxury fashion brand MCM catching on with an adorable range of limited-edition Moncchichi-themed goods.
MCM x MONCHHICHI BAGS
There are a total of four bags as part of the MCM Monchhichi collaboration, all drawn from existing signature silhouettes. Of course, there’s the Liz Shopper ($1,150), a handy tote that remains one of the most popular across MCM’s bag range. At one corner is a motif of the original girl and boy Monchhichi holding a red heart in between them – too cute.
Another versatile everyday pick bearing a similar Moncchichi design is the Toni Zip Shopper Bag ($1,080), which can be carried via its handles, or a long shoulder strap.
If you’re looking for something more petite and feminine, there’s the Aren East-West Shoulder Bag ($1,120), a longish piece that can be comfortably tucked under the arm; as well as the compact Aren Vanity Case Crossbody Bag ($1,030). Both of these come with a girl Monchhichi design, with the endearing critter wearing a pink bow on her head to match the pink logo underneath.
All four styles of the MCM x Monchhichi bags are rendered in that unmistakable MCM Cognac brown – which incidentally goes perfectly with the character’s colours – and come patterned with the brand’s Visetos Monogram. Each one has a gold-tone D-ring tab too, so all the better for cute-maxxing with your collection of Monchhichi keychains and other little trinkets.
