By Keng Yang Shuen,
The biggest headline of the upcoming men's SS26 shows is undoubtedly Jonathan Anderson’s highly anticipated debut for Dior Men on June 27 in Paris. As one of the most talked-about designer appointments in recent memory, all eyes will be on what the former Loewe wizard brings to the house's modern menswear legacy — and whether his signature experimental wit finds a new home in the world of Dior tailoring and codes.
That momentous debut aside, this mens' season is otherwise lighter on bombshells and heavier on transitions. Notably, stalwarts like Gucci and Fendi are MIA - the former might be showing as a co-ed presentation in September when new creative director Demna debuts at Gucci, and Fendi is also opting for a co-ed show by reigning Fendi matriarch Silvia Venturini Fendi in September.
Fendi, like many brands in fashion recently, is in flux, but given Silvia Venturini Fendi's critically acclaimed women's collection for the house in February, we are of the opinion that LVMH should simply stick with the creative director who knows the maison inside out, instead of looking externally.
