Geek Out Over The Miu Miu And Church's Collab
Miu Miu has found the perfect footwear to go with its librarian chic ensembles for Fall/Winter. Enter the traditional brogues that it co-designed with British shoemaker Church's.
If last year's 574 collaboration between Miu Miu and New Balance had satisfied sneakerheads, then the upcoming footwear tie-up that Prada's sister label is dropping might speak to a more traditional crowd. Come Sep 6, Miu Miu will be launching a selection of shoes that it co-designed with the Prada-owned British shoemaker Church's. The brand is a storied name in the footwear business, boasting a rich heritage in crafting handsome designs for gents dating back to 1873 when Thomas Church and his three sons started the company.
Each shoe design from the Miu Miu x Church's collaboration features the traditional perforated "brogue" detail and the embossed Miu Miu logo on the shoe tongue.
The collection features two styles that Church's are known for: the classic Oxford shoes and the elegant double monk strap shoes (read: no laces needed). Each design features the perforated patterns that gives the shoes a distinctively masculine charm and are made with smooth brushed leather that comes in either black or tobacco. An embossed Miu Miu logo on shoe tongue give a subtle nod to this collaboration. Yeap, Miu Miu is officially in full-on preppy mood for Fall/Winter 2023.
