JW Anderson Launches Yet Another Collection For Moncler Genius
It's becoming an annual affair for the Northern Irish designer who debuted his tie-up with Moncler in 2020.
Jonathan Anderson can now say that he's a frequent Moncler collaborator. His JW Anderson label has just dropped a third collaboration with the winterwear specialist as part of the latter's Moncler Genius line which sees fashion and cultural phenoms (everyone from Valentino's Pierpaolo Piccioli to Gentle Monster have taken part) putting their own stamp on the Moncler's puffers and outdoorsy designs.
So what does the talented Mr Anderson have up his sleeves for his latest 1 Moncler JW Anderson offering? The answer lies in his off-kilter brand of fashion which is noted for its playful energy, sculptural shapes, and bright pops of colour – all while maintaining a gender-fluid aesthetic.

This collection sees plenty of padded parkas, zips, and oversized jumpers and cropped blousons which could be worn across genders. Meanwhile, Anderson has also infused some psychedelic patterns into Moncler's clothing akin to mid-'60s streetwear. Bright red swirling lines snake down wide-leg trousers and sprayed polka-dots make an appearance on everything from tote bags to bucket hats.
Jonathan Anderson imbued an almost primitive aspect to the colours and prints for the 1 Moncler JW Anderson designs. Items are sprayed with dots of different width, overdyeing on outerwear pieces give them an uneven texture, while the dry finish of the materials create colours that feel deep and rich,
The collection also introduces more warm weather appropriate-designs (yay!) like washed cotton, denim, and bermuda shorts, overdyed in shades of electric blue, yellow and coral to give an uneven and crafty effect Anderson is partial to. Of course, if skiing on snowy alps is your goal, Moncler's signature padded nylon jackets are created in pastel pinks and blues, accented with leather straps and wool collars.

Not to be overlooked are the collection's footwear options. Cue the Chelsea boots with boucle fabric detailing for winter time and for XL-sized padded slides fit for a sunny day at the beach.
