Moschino Reintroduces A Dedicated Denim Line After More Than 30 Years
Designer denim fever reaches Moschino, which has reintroduced a dedicated denim line which it used to have in the '80s.

From the red carpet to curated vintage stores, archival fashion is a hot commodity right now. The latest brand to ride the #throwback wave is Moschino, which just launched the Mo5ch1no Jeans womenswear line for Pre-Fall 2023 to pay homage to the brand's legacy in designing fashionable designs in the '80s. Spanning ready-to-wear and accessories, the line is a reinterpretation of the original Moschino Jeans line that house founder Franco James began in 1986 and is currently available at the brand's Takashimaya D.S. Level 2 store and on its e-shop.
Numbering around 100 pieces, the collection is a nod to quintessential '80s glamour with oversized shoulders, power suits, and leather jackets, while utilising contemporary techniques such as fabric printing as well as incorporating recycled materials. To give the denim pieces a vintage cachet, they mainly come in a stone wash and feature details like visible stitching, patchwork pockets and frayed edges. The pieces also go through a sanforised treatment to prevent shrinkage during daily washing. And while the collection is focused namely on denim, it also incorporates other designs in chambray, cotton, jersey, velour and leather. Below, our curated picks from the debut collection.
