Some Of The Most Exciting Makeup Launches This Year Can Be Found At Nars

How big of a Nars beauty fan are you? If you've already got your hands on the brand's best-selling Softcore and Orgasm lines and its daring Audacious scent (the brand's first fragrance), get ready to expand that cache in 2021.
The French beauty house, which is known for its bold individualistic colours and working with the artistic crowd (it collaborated with the late photographer Man Ray's trust and recently roped in artsy Korean soul singer LeeHi to front the campaign for its Air Matte Lip Color in South Korea), has released a bumper crop of launches for the first quarter of 2021.
Among them is the addition of new high-impact shades to the Audacious line and a number of limited-edition launches including one for the Lunar New Year that is housed in an auspicious gold and red packaging.

The brand's signature Audacious lipsticks now come in four new shades named after the women that have inspired founder Francois Nars: his mother, Claudette Augustine; and grandmothers, Lea and Ginette. Keeping to the same satin formula that makes the Audacious lippies a hit, these ones will sit comfortably on your puckers for prolonged wear and impart a bold, ultra-saturated colour without bleeding or feathering.
This compact blusher comes in two shades (a peachy pink and deep amber) that are formulated with superfine micronised powder pigments for easy application. The buildable shades deliver a natural wash of colour for a rosy flush.
Featuring six warm, neutral shades in matte, satin, and shimmer finishes, this palette promises a punch to your makeup colours. The secret? Pure pigments are suspended in an innovative liquid binding system to create rich, high-impact saturation with just one swipe.
Chinese New Year Collection Light Reflecting Setting Powder, $62, Lipstick, $40 and Quad Eyeshadow in Deep Sunrise, $80
This limited edition Chinese New year collection features a range of lipsticks, a setting powder and eyeshadow quad that come dressed in rich, red packaging embellished with delicate floral designs. The Light Reflecting Setting Powder is a weightless, translucent powder with a soft matte finish to achieve a luminous complexion while the eyeshadow palette comprises peachy and gold hues in a range of finishes, from buttery mattes to lustrous satins and even multi-dimensional glitters. Finishing off the set are four red-toned lipstick shades boosted with moringa and passion fruit seed oils that work to enhance colour vibrancy and conditions puckers for comfortable wear.
This cream blusher features a lightweight mousse formula that transforms into a velvety powder upon application while imparting a wash of colour to the cheeks. It is powered by a Colour Diffusion Complex that contains a blend of silky polymers and micro-powders to blend seamlessly and blur out any imperfections.
With a weightless texture, this multi-purpose liquid luminiser is meant to impart a dewy, glass-like sheen to the skin to create a translucent complexion. It can be used on the high points of the face, over makeup as a quick touch-up and on top of bare skin.
This limited-edition face palette comes equipped with eight wearable eyeshadows shades in a range of satin, matte and glitter finishes to define and highlight the peepers. The bottom row features three glistening shades of highlighter that will suit all skin tones.
Not only will this aid in hydrating and protecting puckers against environmental aggressors, but its non-sticky formula sits comfortably on the lips while delivering a vibrant pink shade with a mirror-like shine finish.
Besides giving your puckers an iridescent glow thanks to a blend of reflective pearls, the lip shine's clear, shimmer shade can also be used as a lip topper.
Available in six different shades of nudes ranging from neutral beiges to darker browns, this sheer lip balm gives a soft matte finish while blurring out the appearance of lines.
This limited edition cheek palette comes with a mix of highlighters and shimmering blushers in the prettiest shade of pink. It also features a matte, neutral brown bronzer to sculpt and define facial features.
The second option features a warmer colour palette of copper and brown shades to highlight, define and add depth to the face.
