Where: The Rotonda della Besana, a former cemetery in Milan built between 1695 and 1732, served as a striking venue where rows of yellow backpacks for attendees sit atop the sunny yellow seats lining the space.

The takeaway: Onitsuka Tiger is riding high on the success of its 75th anniversary collection, recently unveiled in Milan and now available on shelves. With creative director Andrea Pompilio at the helm, the brand is set to maintain that momentum for Spring Summer 2025 with a collection aptly named Urban Beats. Inspired by "youth wandering in a journey of exploration, moving to the pulse of global urban beats," the collection taps into the vibrant energy of city life.
But don't be misled into thinking this co-ed collection of 50 looks is merely about streetwear. Pompilio’s vision dives deeper into the nostalgia of youths exploring the wardrobes of yesteryears – something Gen Z can certainly relate to, given their love for pre-loved shopping.

In a fascinating collaboration, Onitsuka Tiger has partnered with Wolford, the renowned maker of stockings and bodysuits, to create a capsule collection featuring skin-to-skin dresses, draped tops, and an array of nude-toned stockings that could easily give Skims a run for its money.
At the heart of this collection are two defining moments from the 1990s: minimalism and grunge. Expect to see beautiful slips, lace lingerie-inspired pieces, safari jackets, cargo shorts, and textured knits gracing the lineup. And, true to its shoemaking roots, Onitsuka Tiger has included chunky-soled loafers, lace-ups, and summer sandals, adding a touch of effortless ease to the entire ensemble.
