The Party People VIP Edition: The Female Collective

The folks are among the most wanted and recognisable faces at the hottest dos in town, topping guest lists, unofficial best-dressed lists, and most other folks when it comes to photo ops and "likes". Get acquainted with these very important party people right here, right now.

The 11 women here are part of Female’s family of regular collaborators and event VIPs because they’re experts in creative fields ranging from fashion to music to design. (Missing: letter press pro Emily Loke, who couldn’t make it for the shoot – miss you!). And when it comes to dressing up, entertaining and having a good time, they’re also the ones to know.

The groove goddesses are Nadia Rahmat, Amanda Keisha Ang and Linda Hao. Rahmat’s the event genius behind hip nightspot Kilo Lounge, which moves to its new – and bigger – Tanjong Pagar location this month. Ang’s part of drum-and-bass DJ collective Attagirl, while creative director Hao’s love for all things retro saw her throwing a disco-themed warehouse bash recently. Their democratic approach to partying is one that resonates with Female.

Says Rahmat: “The music is for the people... Everyone’s just here to have fun.”

Trishna Goklani and Guan Min

Aarika Lee and Charmaine Seah-Ong

The social media darlings of the group are also some of SG’s chicest scene-stealers: Guan Min, Trishna Goklani, Charmaine Seah-Ong and Aarika Lee.

Aude Giraud and Marie Soh

To help you get ready for a night out, there’s French florist Aude Giraud, who translates her boho-pretty aesthetic into floral headdresses, and makeup consultant Marie Soh, who debuts her lipstick line Inga this month with classic hues in on-trend matte.

Bella Koh and Charlotte Chen

Then, there are the “social-lites”. Entrepreneur Charlotte Chen goes to Hong Kong’s most exclusive events, and rubs shoulders with the likes of Dries van Noten. Food stylist Bella Koh holds cosy gatherings that are as elegant as her photos. Both are model millennials, but stand by the mantra that good old company is what makes a great fete.

Says Chen: “I enjoy intimate events where I get to meet people and hear their stories.”
