We have officially entered an era of the polka dot renaissance. If previous seasons brought back leopard prints and stripes as the new wardrobe must-haves, this year, the retro spotty dots are back with a downtown girl upgrade.
The print first dots the runways via Jacquemus and Acne Studios. In New York, the cool girl’s go-to brand Sandy Liang stamped the print all over cardigans and mini skirts. Fendi’s fur coats are speckled with extra large dots. While over at Moschino, the polarising print is paired over colours and black and white.
Off the runway, the print gains its street cred thanks to it girls like Hailey Bieber and Olivia Rodrigo. In 2025, the vintage print leans more towards cool and chic rather than coquette. From micro dots, asymmetrical placements, and clashing prints on blouses, capris, and even bags – the spots are everywhere.
