Our Favourite Highlights Of Prada’s Fall Winter 2026 Collection
A lesson on the art of layering, and an ode to the beauty of the Prada woman.
By Alby Permana,
The mood for Prada this fashion week season? Messy – intentionally so as a reflection of current times (climate change, economic downturn, social issues… the list goes on). It starts with one key idea: layering. Prada is creating beauty in the haphazard – with frayed and wrinkled textures unravelling artful twists via riot of colours, soft florals, and glimmers of sequins. Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons describe this women’s collection best, “A manifestation of how clothes are truly worn, in daily life, their layering here is simultaneously representative of a layering of histories, personal and collective, of memories and experiences.”
Ahead, we peel through the highlights from Prada’s Fall Winter 2026 collection, layer by layer.
LAYERS THAT REVEAL MORE AND MORE WITH EACH TURN
Just fifteen models (including Bella Hadid who surprisingly made her Prada runway debut) stormed the catwalk, coming back three more times after every turn – each time unravelling a layer or adding something new. The two creative heads were “informed by a fascination with the process of layering, of transforming through the day, through clothes.” The result? A delightful messy dance of prints cracking through torn fabrics, peeps of acid yellow from underneath coats, and sheer dresses to reveal wool tank tops. The layers go deeper than the versatility of each piece – they reflect and reveal the multifaceted nature of a woman: complex, simple, and beautiful, all at once.
WE’RE GOING BACK TO CORPCORE (KIND OF)
The Prada uniform of formal and evening wear once again grounds and ties the collection. This season, corporate codes meet a Prada twist: midi skirts with delicate embroidery, pantsuits cut short into bermudas, and embellished collars peeking through parka jackets. Basically, corporate core that stands out.
A FRESH TAKE ON WHAT BEAUTY CAN BE
Mrs. Prada has always been one to challenge the ideals of beauty and femininity. Here, the slightly bulky, almost stuffy styling leans into the idea – thick cable knit sweaters stuffed into delicate skirts, loose-hung dresses instead of figure-hugging ones, and shorts worn extra high-waisted. To up the ante: puffy fur lines the middle of jackets – almost out of place being so close to the face. Elsewhere, these choices might be deemed as awkward, but at the masterful hands of Miuccia and Raf, it’s ugly-chic.
IRONED CLOTHES ARE OFFICIALLY OUT
Prada’s menswear collection had blotches staining the cuffs of their crisp shirts, and the women’s collection meets them where it’s at: creased, wrinkly shirts. Because let’s be real, who’s got time for ironing anyway?
FUNKY SHOES THAT STOLE THE SHOW
The show stealer? Shoes that shock and excite. From yellow knee-high boots with embroidery and a lace-up option covered in feathers, kitten heels in a variety of colours and textures paired with floral socks, to black chunky loafers with red laces. Needless to say, Prada’s keeping the shoe-lovers well-fed this season.
