The Techie Carry-all: Ralph Lauren's Ricky Bag With Light

The iconic Ricky bag now comes with a built-in LED light and USB port. 

Christie's international director of handbags and accessories Matthew Rubinger said recently in an interview with Female that Ralph Lauren's bags like the Ricky are "very well made and will retain their value".

Here's one other reason to invest in one, apart from their marketability: the Ricky Bag with Light, which is fitted with a rechargeable battery that powers an internal LED light and USB port. The light is activated once the bag is opened (useful in clubs and cinemas), and the USB port allows you to charge mobile devices on the go.

Each bag, which is made of calf leather and rose gold-plated hardware, is handcrafted in Italy and takes up to 12 hours to create. It will launch in limited quantities in selected Ralph Lauren stores, including Singapore's, this February.
