This Limited Edition Rouge Dior Range Pays Homage To The New Look

Fashion history buffs would know the New Look from Monsieur Christian Dior's iconic 1947 collection that revolutionised the post-war style lexicon for its unapologetically feminine silhouettes of rounded shoulders, cinched waist and a very full skirt.

Now beauty fans might know the New Look as the moniker for a newly-released limited edition Rouge Dior collection which celebrates that seminal outing.

Christened the New Look 47 Collection, this cosmetic range is exclusively sold at Dior Beauty boutiques from Oct 15 and comprises the Rouge Dior Lipstick in the iconic red shade of 999 and the Rouge Blush which comes in a pretty peachy-pink tint.

What makes the products true collectible are the intricate and opulent motifs of mannequin busts dressed in haute couture gowns that have been stamped onto the powder and lipstick.
