These Shoes Are Made For... Dancing
Salvatore Ferragamo's newest shoe capsule collection is made for the dance floor.
By Gordon Ng ,
The name of Salvatore Ferragamo's shoe capsule launched recently says it all: Let's Dance.
The range – which includes ballet flats, jazzy lace-ups Gancini moccasins, heeled sandals and boots – draws from the vernacular of the dance world and is designed with comfort and flexibility in mind.
The primary material used is supple Nappa leather with careful attention paid to the construction to keep each pair lightweight. Even the decorative details have been selected with the effect of movement on them in mind: rhinestones, glitter, a refracted mirror-like heel design. Non-dancers alike can appreciate.
Contemporary dancers Tania Dimbelolo, Naomi Weijand and Anita Lorusso show their moves in the latest footwear from Salvatore Ferragamo's Let's Dance fashion campaign.
To usher in this collection, American director Danielle Lessovitz created a short film starring contemporary dancers Tania Dimbelolo, Naomi Weijand and Anita Lorusso – all of whom have also created choreography tutorials and a dance challenge on Tiktok for all to follow: check out the hashtag #FerragamoDanceChallenge.
