Where: Drummond Castle stole the spotlight as the epic stage for the show. Its stunning gardens in Perthshire, Scotland, have graced screens in shows like Rob Roy and Outlander. Scotland wasn't chosen randomly; Monsieur Dior himself showcased his Spring/Summer 1955 collection in the picturesque ballroom of Perthshire's iconic Gleneagles Hotel.
The gardens of Drummond Castle, the venue for the Dior Cruise 2025 show, have a history dating back to the 17th century.
The takeaway: Maria Grazia Chiuri continues to draw inspiration from strong feminine figures in her collections, as seen previously with Frida Kahlo and Catherine of Medici. In her latest collection, she evokes Scotland's most famous woman: Mary Stuart, also known as Mary, Queen of Scots. Mary is remembered for both provoking rebellion and asserting her voice in a male-dominated society. This rebellious undertone is palpable in the collection, which stands out for its punkish spirit.
Tartans, kilts, bonnets, and other trappings of Scottish culture were abundant at the Dior Cruise 2025 show in Drummond Castle.
As with her previous collections shown outside of Paris, Chiuri collaborated with local artisans to create her pieces. She enlisted the expertise of Scottish brands such as Le Kilt for kilts, Harris Tweed, Johnstons of Elgin, and Esk Cashmere for textiles and fabrics. Additionally, she partnered with Robert Mackie, known for producing the ceremonial bonnets worn by Scottish regiments.

What we're eyeing: The leather bags with their ceremonial embellishments; the voluminous tartan coats, capes and kilts; studded denim jacket and baggy jeans co-ord set; the historical prints and appliques featuring photographs from Dior's 1955 presentation in Scotland
