Gotta Catch 'Em All: The Shu Uemura x Pokemon Collaboration

In the past years, there were partnerships with Mario Bros and luxury chocolatier La Maison Du Chocolat when it came to Shu Uemura's festive offerings. This time around, the Japanese makeup brand teams up with a familiar furry character from our childhood - Pikachu. The collaboration that's named Pikashu is a combination of the words Pika (which stands for electric sparkling sounds in Japanese) and Shu (from Shu Uemura, of course).

And that's also the nickname of the adorable yellow Pokemon that has been given a makeover for this collaboration, a la Shu Uemura style. The mascot now features gold, dazzling makeup, orange cheeks, bright red lips, vivid purple eyes, and a thunderbolt heart-shaped tail. Likewise, the packaging of the products in this limited-edition series will also be given the same gold-coloured treatment.
