Fashion season is about to kick off - here's a quick recap of the many moves in the industry this season. For one, fashion's biggest magpie, Alessandro Michele, is set to make his return in a big way - this will be his first runway show for Valentino, after surprising us with a juicy 171-look Resort 2025 collection for the Roman house in June.
All eyes will be on Alessandro Michele this season for his first runway show at Valentino.
Several brands are opting not to show this season however - including Margiela, Givenchy and Tom Ford. The latter has of course very recently announced Haider Ackermann as its new creative director - the first external appointee since Tom Ford founded his eponymous label in 2005. The news was met with rapturous response - Ackermann has long been considered a designer's designer - and he'll be staging his first show for the American label next March.
Meanwhile, labels like Alaia and Off-White are decamping from Paris to New York this season, while Ganni is showing in the French capital instead of its usual Copenhagen stronghold - a sign of the Danish label's growing ambitions perhaps? Meanwhile, king of viral stunts Coperni is set to close the season with a show at Disneyland Paris on October 1.
This story will continually be updated with the latest shows, so stay tuned. P.S. The show details below reflect Singapore date and time.
