Susan Fang Is Teaming Up With & Other Stories For A Dreamy Collaboration

Susan Fang, the China-born designer who has built a cult following among coquette-core fanatics and Gen Z for her nature-inspired designs and bubble accessories, is about to embark on a new collaboration. Come April 18, Fang and Swedish retailer & Other Stories are launching a tie-up that will be retailing exclusively at the latter's store at Ion Orchard.

Rising designer Susan Fang is a top choice for brands to collaborate with. Besides her upcoming collection with & Other Stories, she has also teamed up with Zara, Ugg, and Nike.
The 11-piece collection of ready-to-wear and accessories highlights typical Susan Fang design elements, such laser-cut flower petal details, crochet pieces, and broderie anglaise. The transparent beads repeated on many pieces create a dreamy water-drop effect on the fabrics, tying everything together perfectly. This collection holds personal significance for the former LVMH Prize nominee as well: the prints featured on two dresses, a pair of shorts, and a skirt features the work of her mother.
The Susan Fang collection for & Other Stories comprises 11 pieces of ready-to-wear and accessories.
"My mother used to be a farmer, which has given her an in-depth knowledge of how flowers grow and what they actually look like, very different from how we are taught in school to draw flowers," says Fang. "We created the prints from my mother's unique flower drawings and marble paintings, merging them with Photoshop to achieve a blend of emotions and contemporary aesthetics."
