We’re off to a busy morning, with the latest engagement announcement involving none other than Taylor Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce. In a series of romantic garden photos posted on Swift’s official Instagram — along with that amazing shiny diamond ring, the caption read: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.”
We now know that the couple wore coordinated outfits from Polo Ralph Lauren: Kelce wore a cable-knit cotton polo collar sweater in navy, while his gorgeous fiancée wore a Polo Ralph Lauren black and white striped silk-blend dress. Up-close, we spotted Swift’s diamond-studded Cartier Santos Demoiselle watch on her wrist. Cute!
According to Page Six, the whooping $550,000 vintage-inspired 8-carat engagement ring was designed by Kelce himself, along with designer jeweler Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine. Lubeck is a master at the art of hand engraving, where each old mine cut diamond is a unique work of art. Popular in the 18th and 19th centuries, these diamonds were meticulously hand-cut, resulting in a distinctive cushion-like shape, softened corners, and bold, chunky facets. No two are exactly alike, which makes Swift’s ring design very, very special.
