This Beauty Balm From L'Occitane Might Help to Bring Equality to Women in West Africa

Patricia Arquette is not the only one who's big on equality. All profits from the sale of L'Occitane's Shea Apricot Solidarity Balm goes to promoting women's entrepreneurship in Burkino Faso, West Africa.

Every year, to mark International Women's Day on March 8, L'Occitane pays tribute to the women of Burkina Faso. It was in this West African country that the beauty brand first discovered shea butter in the early 1980s. The ingredient (known for its skin nourishing, repairing and protecting properties) is now in most of L'Occitane's body care products.

This March, L'Occitane is releasing a limited edition Shea Apricot Solidarity Balm ($7). This multi-purpose moisturiser is made with 96 per cent shea butter and can be used to hydrate your lips, hair and body.
