Pharrell Just Made Pearls Even Cooler With His Tiffany Titan Jewellery
Dark pearls? Definitely Pharrell's vibe.
By Imran Jalal,
If anyone can make pearls look effortlessly cool, it’s Pharrell Williams. The Louis Vuitton men’s creative director has once again shaken up the jewellery world with Tiffany Titan – his collaboration with Tiffany & Co. – blending punk-inspired edge with the timeless elegance of pearls. Inspired by Poseidon, the Greek mythological god of the sea, the collection reimagines chain jewellery with sharp, spear-like spikes and undeniable power.
Titan first made waves in May 2024 with bold 18K yellow gold and black titanium designs. Then came freshwater pearls, softening the edge. Now, Pharrell takes it up a notch with Tahitian pearls – moodier, darker, and undeniably luxe. Think deep charcoals, iridescent greens, and purples, fused with Titan’s signature diamond spear motif.
This bracelet is one of five new additions to the Tiffany Titan collection this year.
This latest drop delivers five statement pieces in 18K yellow gold, diamonds, and Tahitian pearls: a striking necklace, a bold bracelet, a sleek pendant, drop earrings, and a double-row ring. The necklace alone stuns with nearly two carats of diamonds.
Adding to the innovation, the collection features the Titan Setting – a prongless Floeting platform that makes diamonds appear to hover above the setting. This cutting-edge technique, seen in pendants, earrings, and a multi-shank ring, enhances the brilliance of Tiffany diamonds while maintaining the collection’s signature spear-like aesthetic.
The dark Tahitian pearls are cultivated for a minimum of 18 months in the saltwater lagoons of French Polynesia.
The Tahitian pearls are not just any pearls. Tahitian pearls, cultivated for at least 18 months in the saltwater lagoons of French Polynesia, are among the rarest in the world. Their larger-than-average size (11–12 mm) makes them even more of a power move. Tiffany artisans meticulously hand-select each pearl, ensuring a balance between harmony and natural variation – ensuring that no two are ever alike.
With this latest evolution, Pharrell and Tiffany & Co. have cemented Titan as the ultimate jewellery power move – edgy, unexpected, and effortlessly cool.
