Did you know that Tod's creative director Walter Chiapponi has a special way of signing off on letters and documents? Instead of a signature, the man prefers to keep things personal with a doodle of his self-portrait.

If you find that as a cute gesture, then Tod's Graffiti capsule collection is worth checking out. Launched exclusively at the Italian house's new boutique at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands on July 14, Chiapponi goes wild with illustrations and marker drawings, using them as the most playful decorative art for bags and shoes.

The Gommino is one of the items Walter Chiapponi has 'scribbled' on for the Tod's Graffiti capsule.

The outing not only allows Chiapponi to highlight the house codes of human touch, it also lets him channel a deep-seated passion for street art and respect for its pioneers like Keith Haring and Jean Michel Basquiat whom he namechecked as inspirations for the collection.

One can't help but to notice the influence of Haring and Basquait in the marker drawn drawings and the carefree mashup of Italian words like (Buena Suerte, Amor, etc) and English phrases (In Love We Trust, Dream, etc) plastered all over a range of T Timeless bags, Gommino driving shoes and sneakers.
