The Internet Is Loving The Urban Decay x Kristen Leanne Collab
The cruelty-free beauty YouTube star, known for her love of bright colours, glitter and tattoos, is Urban Decay’s first ever influencer collaborator.
By MOH SHUYING,
A whimsical beauty junkie who has been on Youtube since 2007, Kristen Leanne has almost 500,000 subscribers with 22 million views at press date. Her videos range from everyday wearable looks to over-the-top glam tutorials. She is all about colour and self-expression, which is manifested in her bold and creative #MOTDs and even a successful hair colour company, Arctic Fox.
Kristen was chosen by Urban Decay because of their common love for self-expression. “Makeup is a form of self-expression. It’s not about covering your flaws, but showing the world who you are.” For this collection, Kristen collaborated with the Urban Decay team to create all new makeup shades, from eyes to lips and even face, in the prettiest of packagings.
The UD x Kristen Leanne collection is available from 1st March 2018 and you can check out the range here:
This palette includes 11 vibrant shades, including a uniquely shifty yellow, vivid brights, and an out-of-this-world split-pan duotone. Using Urban Decay’s pigment infused system, the colours all pop upon application, especially Spitfire, a bright pink satin with a purple shift and Corona, inspired by her favourite beer.
When she’s not dropping amazing rainbow makeup tutorials, Kristen creates the dreamiest neutral eye looks. Loaded with five new shades, this is perfect for creating matte looks. Every shade feels buttery and blends beautifully.
Kristen digs highlighter almost as much as she digs Mexican food, which is why she wanted to create an ultimate highlighter palette. You can wear these golden shades individually, or cocktail two or three for a custom glowy effect.
Kristen is known for being able to pull off any lipstick shade. But because Urban Decay couldn't create every single shade she wanted, they narrowed it down to three must-have matte lippies. The nude Bun Bun is named after her pet bunny Brixton, Spellbound is a deep plum and Cloud9 is a gorgeous magenta.
Urban Decay worked with Kristen to create her very own shades of the brand's long-lasting liquid lipstick, then put them together in one set. A must-have for any lipstick junkie, this duo features two ultra-flattering neutrals that look great on any skin tone. This exclusive item is only available at Urban Decay freestanding stores.
