Each winter, Van Cleef & Arpels celebrates the magical spectacle of nature with its Diamond Breeze collection, and this year is no exception.
The Maison reveals enchanting new creations: a between-the-finger ring, a pendant, and a pair of earrings in white gold and diamonds as part of the Lotus line, where classic favourites inspired by the symbolic flower are reimagined.
To enrich the sparkling brilliance of the Diamond Breeze collection, American photographer Erik Madigan Heck also lensed a series of images featuring other floral-inspired creations from Van Cleef & Arpels including these Rose de Noel designs.
To enrich the sparkling brilliance of the Diamond Breeze, Van Cleef & Arpels has collaborated with a selection of artists, designers and interior architects to reinterpret the shapes and colours of winter. Among them is American artist and photographer Erik Madigan Heck, who has signed several photographic series around the Maison's creations since 2019.
Here, we take a closer look at the new Lotus designs and classics for the Diamond Breeze collection.
A symbol of beauty, purity and completion, the lotus first appeared on Van Cleef & Arpels’ Egyptian-themed line created in the '20s. In 2001, it bloomed on a Between the Finger ring, which became a signature piece within the Lotus collection. It was redesigned in 2017 with a clever system that allows it to be worn in multiple ways and was featured in the Maison's high jewellery collections and Zip necklace.

Besides the lotus flower, blooms including daisies, buttercups, camellias, chrysanthemums, fuchsias, anemones, lilies of the valley, violets and bellflowers in the have remained a source of inspiration for the Maison, decades since a daisy first appeared on a clip dating back to 1907.
Take, for example, the delicate Rose de Noel that launched in 1970, the tender Cosmos pieces that first appeared in 1981, the Flowerlace high jewellery collection that brought together nature and couture, and the delightful Frivole with its curved heart-shaped petals introduced in 2003.
