Victoria Beckham Makes The Case For Colour-Blocking
Victoria Beckham has always been known as a fashion plate - but the looks she's been stepping out in recently show how she's revamping her style.
By KENG YANG SHUEN,
Out with the towering heels and fake tans that she used to be associated with - Beckham, these days, is a lot more into evolving her own eponymous label and relaxed fits.
Her black-loving Posh Spice '90s persona has also undergone a total transformation - Beckham, who was a judge on the prestigious Woolmark Prize 2017 panel, shows off her excellent sense of colour (above). Pairing a sky blue shirt - nattily unbuttoned, of course - with persimmon orange-pleated pants, it made for an effortless statement.
While she has noticeably gone for a looser fit these days, it was still a masterclass in colour-blocking, and one that's especially in trend with Spring 2017's predilection for bold colours.
It wasn't her only shot at colour blocking though - she was recently seen out and about in a more fitted outfit (along with her favourite kicks - heels), and in bright colours she deliberately chose to clash - a red sweater and slim sky-blue pants.
It would appear Beckham has a thing for sky blue, and it looks similar to what Pantone deems "Island Paradise" - one of the top 10 colours for Spring 2017. Either way, she's coming across as very refreshing with her adventurous colour-blocking these days - and we can only hope for more.
