Donatella Versace kept the rebels, goth lovers and club kids in mind when creating Versace's Spring/Summer 2023 collection. Her runway show last Sept during Milan Fashion Week made sure of that. Clock the dimly lit show space that was decorated with rows of black candles, the cut-out dresses and lace mini dresses that scream goth bride, and OG rebel queen Paris Hilton closing the show in a glittery Barbie pink number. “I have always loved a rebel. A woman who is confident, smart and a little bit of a diva," shares the Italian fashion designer in a press release.
Versace is in a goth punk era.
Flirty dresses with cut-outs and Mary Janes with chunky platforms set the tone for the dark and provocative theme of the collection, as do the fringe leather jackets and bags and tactile pieces like a spike-textured sweater.
