Actress Zoey Deutch Is The Style Star You Should Watch Out For

Star of upcoming film Rebel In The Rye (yes, if you're thinking it sounds familiar, it's about author J.D. Salinger), the young Zoey Deutch has been quietly taking the red carpet by storm.

Deutch may be young at all of 23 years old but she's already working the red carpet like a pro. Here, we take a look at some of her best looks:

#1: She's already on top of the colour-blocking trend

Spring 2017? Deutch is already moving onto Fall 2017, where colour-blocking looks to be one of the biggest trends of the season. I like that she gave her own spin on the runway look (right), removing the green python (?) skirt and opting for a fab pair of flared pants in burgundy - a key colour at New York fashion week.

P.S. is it just me or does she really resemble Chloe Moretz?

#2: She's outdoing models at their own game

While there are some designs that should be left to the runway, other times, it takes a star with real charisma and/or personality (Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton, Nicole Kidman all comes to mind) to pull it off better than the model.

Proving that sometimes simplicity is best, Deutch took a design from Vika Gazinskaya's spring 2015 collection out for a spin, pairing it with Prada sandals.

#3: Visible bra? No problem.

Haven't you heard? Bras are the new tops to be seen in - it was all over the Spring 2017 runways. But in real life they're a bit tricky to wear out, especially if you don't work in the creative field. Zoey's solution to that? Layering a semi-sheer sweater over her bra - it's not as brazen but points for subtlety.

#4: She knows how to rock a pant suit

Celebrities are all over pant suits and Deutch is no exception - most people own a black suit or two but it tends to look really dull. Make like Deutch, who went for this sharply tailored Versace piece - interesting accents like the purple piping make a world of difference.

#4: She's not afraid of tackling "trickier" designs

Prada is the darling of the fashion set and is always eagerly scrutinised for directional ideas but not many celebrities wear Prada straight off the runway - though custom designs often appear on the red carpet, such as when Lupita Nyong'o picked up her Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 2014 in an exclusive Nairobi blue pleated gown.

Deutch however, went straight for this distinctive runway ensemble from the Spring 2017 collection and made no amendments to it - leaving the feather accent intact as it is.

It's worth noting that her current stylist is Elizabeth Stewart, who also styles the likes of Cate Blanchett - expect great things to come from this pair in future.
