Why You'll Want To Wear Chanel's F/W '20 Boots With Everything

Virginie Viard pays tribute to Coco Chanel's love for wearing boots by punctuating every one of the looks on the Fall/Winter 2020 runway with her two-tone rendition.

The shoe most synonymous with Chanel might be its black-and-beige sandals, but this season, there’s another two-toned style to know. While Gabrielle Chanel never made boots for her collections, she wore them everywhere; whether she was going horse riding or for a stroll. (PS. She commissioned Massaro, the same atelier behind said sandals, to make them.)

As a tribute, Virginie Viard designed black equestrian style leather boots that can be folded under the knee to reveal a brown cuff for Fall/Winter 2020. What to pair them with? Just about anything from skirt suits to evening gowns – they punctuated every one of the 72 looks on the runway.
