We’re not crying, you’re crying. The reunion that 2000s kids has been manifesting for years is finally here. Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are back together for Rare Beauty’s latest campaign, Still Making Each Other Blush, and we’re feeling very, very nostalgic.

The pair first met on the set of Barney & Friends in 2001, when they were just seven years old, before going on to become Disney Channel darlings and star in the 2009 classic Princess Protection Programme. Nearly 25 years of friendship later, the girls are still making each other blush.
The campaign
The campaign is serving up a massive dose of nostalgia, with the pair reuniting in tiaras and gowns for a series of dreamy images inspired by their iconic former Disney days. If you’ve ever watched Princess Protection Programme on repeat, you’ll know exactly why we’re losing our minds.
And Rare Beauty has been keeping us Disney kids well-fed over on Instagram, sharing behind-the-scenes moments that feel like a little trip back to the good old days. Set in a nostalgic bedroom, the pair brought back their signature “Yo, yo, yo!” greeting, referencing the vlogs they used to make almost two decades ago and even recreated their iconic Princess Protection Programme poses. Naturally, there’s makeup involved, with the girls using blush brushes as pretend microphones and lip-syncing to their Disney duet One and the Same.
