Interview: Filipino Girl Group Bini On Music, Style And Their Dream Artistes To Collab With
Months after their viral Coachella performance, we chatted with the eight-piece P-pop group while they were here in Singapore for their headliner concert this October.
By Rachel Yohannan,
It was a groundbreaking moment when P-pop (Filipino-pop) group, Bini, first strutted onto the Coachella stage earlier this April. Not only was it a milestone for the octet, it was also a major breakthrough in music history, with the girls being the first-ever act from The Philippines to take the stage at the popular desert festival – joining a star-studded line-up featuring the likes of Justin Bieber, Katseye, Sabrina Carpenter, Addison Rae, BigBang and plenty more.

Shortly after that, Bini started their Signals World Tour, touring across their homeland before jetting off to places including but not limited to the United States, Netherlands, Italy, and Australia. Blooms (Bini’s fandom) in Singapore were also in for a treat, with the stylish group performing hits like Pantropiko and Salamin at Arena @ Expo on October 25, 2026.
Ahead of their show, we caught up with Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena to talk fashion, music, and what they’ve been enjoying about their ongoing tour so far. Scroll on for the full scoop.

Describe the Bini aesthetic in one emoji:
Stacey: “Definitely the sparkles emoji, because Bini’s styling is all about shining in our own ways. Every outfit tells a different story and we get to share different sides of ourselves. And a little sparkle [helps] to complete the look.”
What’s your favourite Bini song that you’ve been listening to on repeat?
Aiah: “Honestly, I don’t always play it on my phone because I always hear it at work, but I do sometimes catch myself singing Katabi when I shower.”
Do you have a go-to fashion staple?
Gwen: “Right now I’m into feminine, soft, elegant styling, just because that’s what complements my blonde hair.”
Which member would you trust most to style you for a concert?
Colet: “Everyone! It depends on the style or the theme of the concert. If I want girly stuff that’s pink – we call it kikay – I will choose Stacey. But if I’m going for a more laidback, boyish style, I’d go for Mikha or Sheena.”
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would be on your dream list?
Mikha: “Zara Larsson and Adela. They’ve changed the whole industry with their music and visual identities. They have two very different styles, but at the same time, they both speak for women empowerment and that’s what I love about them. I think their styles would suit us because we love to explore as [a group] and we don’t wanna stick to just one style. It would be so cool to be able to collaborate with them.”
This is your first time performing in Singapore. How has your experience been so far?
Jhoanna: “We’re super excited! This is already our third time in Singapore, but this time we’re here for our very own headline tour. We only have four days here, but yesterday we finally had some time to explore. Four of us collaborated with Valorant players and created content together, while the other four girls had interviews. After the interview they all went to Haji Lane! As for me, I got to visit Marina Bay again with my cousins – they’re also here – and we had dinner together.”
Is there a specific memory from your previous shows that has stayed with you?
Maloi: “Every time we’re about to perform Out Of My Head, we can see the anticipation of the Blooms because they’re gonna stand and party with us. That’s one of the most memorable [moments] for me.”
What sort of upcoming plans can your fans look forward to?
Sheena: “Our Blooms can look forward to new music and content from us, and we have upcoming performances in the Philippines and internationally.”
