There's An All-New Electronic Music Festival In Singapore This Weekend

EDM music isn't all Calvin Harris and Skrillex. Change your perspectives at Spectrum, the first multi-genre electronic music festival that aims to celebrate young names in the local scene.

Taking place this Saturday, 8 October at the NUS University Cultural Centre, the Spectrum Music Festival promises eight full hours of electronica genres including house, trance, dubstep, drums and bass and more.

Showcasing established local names such as Disco Hue (above), Canvas Conversations and Mitch Advent (all alumni of the Esplanade Baybeats festival) and newer, up-and-coming performers such as Nars.K, Royle, Skice and Three Hunters, the one-day affair will see both live sets and DJ sets taking place.

Spectrum is split into two sessions: Solar (3:30pm-7pm) and Lunar (7:30pm-10:30pm). Each session costs $18 - and if you're a big fan of supporting local music (did you make it to the 100 Bands Festival last weekend?), you shouldn't miss this.
