A Rundown Of All The Hot Male Leads Jisoo ‘Dated’ In Boyfriend On Demand
Jisoo re-enters her actress era with Netflix K-Drama, Boyfriend on Demand. Here are all the virtual ‘boyfriends’ she meets and where you might’ve seen them before.
By Lucy Lauron,
In case you were living under a rock: Jisoo is back in her actress era. Boyfriend on Demand dropped on March 6 on Netflix, featuring Blackpink’s Jisoo as Seo Mi-rae, a burnt-out webtoon producer who’s jaded about love.
This romcom follows Mi-rae as she goes through the motions of life: enduring her 9-to-5, avoiding her workplace rival Park Kyeong-nam (played by Seo In-guk), and trying to keep her head above the water. When a work project introduces her to a virtual reality dating simulation called ‘Boyfriend on Demand,’ the line between reality and fiction starts to blur as real romantic feelings start to fester.
In her latest 2026 drama Boyfriend on Demand, Blackpink’s Jisoo takes on a new role as Seo Mi-rae.
What does one do in a VR dating simulation? In this K-Drama, users can meet and ‘date’ up to 900 virtual boyfriends. From an arrogant chaebol, to a sweet first love, and even a mysterious Joseon-era assassin, Mi-rae experiences just about every romantic trope through the dating sim. The best part: they’re all played by a slew of gorgeous high-profile South Korean actors and celebrities.
Here’s a spoiler-free breakdown of all our favourite male actors playing both virtual and IRL boyfriends on Boyfriend on Demand, and where you might’ve previously spotted them.
P.S.: Check out our list of all the must-watch Netflix shows dropping this March 2026.

1. Seo In-guk
He plays...: Mi-rae’s offline love interest, the stoic work rival who is always one-upping her.
Where you’ve seen him before: K-Drama connoisseurs would know Seo’s face pretty well. Before Boyfriend on Demand, he starred in several K-Drama classics from the 2010s like Reply 1997, Reply 1994, Hello Monster and Oh My Ghost. His more recent projects have also been major hits, with projects like Cafe Minamdang, Doom At Your Service and Death’s Game earning major praise and streams.
2. Seo Kangjun
He plays...: The tall, athletic, and dreamy campus crush who might remind you of your first love.
Where you’ve seen him before: In a few other K-Dramas like Cheese In The Trap, Are You Human? and Undercover High School. Before he became an actor, though, he was initially a K-Pop idol in the now-disbanded group 5urprise that debuted in 2013.
3. Lee Soohyuk
He plays...: The rich and arrogant playboy chaebol heir
Where you’ve seen him before: This veteran actor is probably one of the most recognisable of Boyfriend on Demand’s virtual boyfriends. With his vampirish good looks, this model-turned-actor has starred in several K-Drama hits alongside other A-listers like Seo In-Guk and Park Bo-young. His best works includes S Line, Tomorrow, Doom at Your Service (which Seo In-Guk also stars in) and The Scholar Who Walks The Night.
4. Lee Jaewook
He plays...: The tsundere senior doctor with a hidden soft side
Where you’ve seen him before: In the realm of K-Dramas, Lee has had plenty of experience playing the stoic tsundere type. He’s starred in other romance dramas like Dear Hongrang, Alchemy of Souls and Extraordinary You, along with new-gen favourites like The Impossible Heir and Death’s Game.
5. Kim Young-dae

6. Ong Seong-woo
He plays...: The National Intelligence Service agent who saves lives
Where you’ve seen him before: Third-gen K-Pop fans would definitely recognise this face. Ong previously participated in the K-Pop survival show Produce 101, where he won fifth place and debuted in the temporary boy group Wanna One in 2017. After Wanna One’s disbandment, he started his acting career in 2019 with the drama At Eighteen and starred in other shows like Strong Girl Nam-soon and Life is Beautiful.
7. Lee Sang-yi
He plays...: The honest and straightforward firefighter
Where you’ve seen him before: If you love action-packed thrillers and crime shows, you might have already watched Lee throwing punches and fighting villains in shows like Bloodhounds (season two drops on April 3, 2026 FYI) Good Boy and Han River Police.
8. Kim Sung-cheol
He plays...: Mi-rae’s offline ex-boyfriend — the one that got away
Where you’ve seen him before: While he’s not a virtual boyfriend, Kim played Mi-rae’s IRL ex-boyfriend, playing into the romance trope of ‘the one that got away.’ You would’ve seen him in other K-drama favourites on Netflix like Sweet Home, Our Beloved Summer and Hellbound.
9. Jay Park
He plays...: Jay Park...no, seriously.
Where you’ve seen him before: Jay Park needs little introduction. He first debuted in the second-gen JYP group 2PM in 2008, before going solo in 2010 and entering the K-Hip Hop genre. Now, he’s known for club bangers like Mommae and All I Wanna Do, and forming the boy group Lngshot under his entertainment company, More Vision.
10. Yang Hong-seok
He plays...: The famous K-Pop idol
Where you’ve seen him before: The virtual idol boyfriend who’s hiding his steamy romance from fans is played by none other than a real K-Pop idol: Hongseok, Pentagon’s vocalist. Like Jisoo, Hongseok is also currently in his actor era, with roles in Blue Birthday and Shadow Beauty, the latter of which also happens to feature a few other idol-actors like Lee Na-gyung from Fromis_9 and Bomin from the now-disbanded Golden Child.
