KPop Demon Hunters Wins Best Animated Feature, Best Song at Critics Choice Awards
Not only that, Squid Game 3 nabbed its third Best Foreign Language Series Award.
K-wave is sweeping the Critics Choice Awards this year! Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters snagged Best Song award for ‘Golden’ and Best Animated Feature at the awards which was held on Sunday (4 Jan) in California, Los Angeles. Could this be their positive headstart to the Oscar race?

KPop Demon Hunters, which was released last year in June, had surpassed over 300 million views on Netflix in three months. The story follows K-pop superstars Rumi, Mira and Zoey who battle demons and protect the world while balancing stardom. And yes, a sequel is in the works, targeted for 2029.

Spotted in the crowd were Wicked director and actress Jon M. Chu and Ariana Grande who gave a rousing applause to the cast when it was announced.
Another huge milestone is Squid Game 3 picked up their Best Foreign Language Series win at the 31st annual ceremony. This comes after the title made history at the 2022 Critics Choice Awards when it became the first Korean drama to win best foreign language series. That same year, actor Lee Jung-jae walked on stage as the first Korean actor to win best actor in a drama series.
