Everything You Need To Know About Wednesday Season Two
New season, new faces? We heard Lady Gaga's making a guest appearance on Wednesday's latest season.
By Sarah Adriana,
Are you ready to descend into the shadows again and return to Nevermore? Wednesday is back and the halls of Nevermore academy is getting gloomier (and juicier) than ever. Season two of the hit supernatural series is returning in two parts: the first four episodes drop on August 6 at 3pm on Netflix, with the remaining four landing on September 3 at the same time. Eight episodes. Two drops with maximum dread.
Wednesday Season Two brings the Addams clan back together for what looks like a not-so-fun reunion.
After smashing Netflix records, reviving gothcore, and giving us that viral dance scene, Wednesday is back to do what she does best: serve looks, solve murders, and roast everyone in the room. The gothic coming-of-age series returns with more twisted mysteries, family drama, and supernatural weirdness set against the eerie backdrop of Nevermore Academy. And yes, Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) is still the most terrifying teenager on TV. Consider this your formal invitation back to the dark side.
What's haunting Nevermore Academy this time?
In case your memory's a little foggy, last season followed Wednesday Addams as she begrudgingly uncovered a murder mystery, while discovering her own psychic powers in the process.
Now? Things are even messier.
Wednesday Season Two, featuring everyone's favorite disembodied hand. When Thing is your research assistant and chaos is the syllabus.
This season, Jenna Ortega returns in full force on screen stomping through the gothic corridors of Nevermore with her signature deadpan delivery and lethal side-eye. But this semester isn’t just about slaying supernatural threats, Wednesday’s tangled web of family drama, frenemy fallouts, and unresolved beefs drags her back into the chaos. There’s a new mystery to solve, darker than before. And, yes, it looks like the body count might rise with the stakes.
The Cast: Who's returning - and who's new?
Alongside Jenna Ortega, expect to see familiar faces like Emma Myers, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Luis Guzman. But this season levels up the casting chaos with some delicious new additions: Lady Gaga (yes, that Gaga), Christopher Lloyd, and Frances O’Connor are all on board for guest appearances. What kind of eerie trouble are they bringing? We’re already spiraling.
Catch Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair in Wednesday Season Two premiering on August 6.
The DOOM Tour: A World Tour of Wednesday Mayhem
Promotion has never looked this macabre. In what Netflix is calling The DOOM Tour, the cast of Wednesday will be creeping across the globe, from England to Poland, Italy to France, all the way to South Korea, Canada, and Australia. No one is safe.
Want to follow the madness? @wednesdaynetflix is where you’ll catch glimpses of the tour’s chaos, outfits, and maybe even a lurking ghoul or two.
Meet the minds behind the madness
Wednesday’s world remains in the capable (and twisted) hands of Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who return as showrunners and executive producers. Tim Burton, undeniably the show's spooky spiritual godfather, directs four episodes this season, with Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson rounding out the director lineup.
When the Addams family shows up, you know things are about to get… weird.

Final thoughts: What we're dying to see
More gothic weirdness? Always. More cursed romances? Hopefully. A dance scene that breaks the internet (again)? We'll be waiting. Until then, sharpen your wit, light a candle, and get ready for more delightfully dreadful chaos from Nevermore.
Will you be watching? You know we will.
Catch it here when it premieres on Netflix on August 6.
