The Singapore Contemporary Is The Perfect Way To Round Out Singapore Art Week
If last week's Art Stage hasn't satiated your thirst for art, the Singapore Contemporary will be the ideal avenue to end Singapore Art Week with a bang.

Singapore Art Week 2017 ends this Sunday, but there's no reason to ease off the art gazing just yet - the second edition of the Singapore Contemporary is back, with more than 3,000 carefully curatedworks on show.
Taking place this weekend at the Suntec City Convention and Exhibition Centre, this year's edition sees two new initiatives added to the show: Photo17 and Latin American Voices.
Photo17
A brand-new initiative, Photo17 focuses on highlighting the importance of photography as an artistic medium (read: it has traditionally not been taken seriously as an art form).
Showcasing over 30 international photographers from the big names (Daido Moriyama, Vincent Fournier) to younger up-and-comers, the exhibition makes the case that photography isn't just photo-taking: it's photo-making.
Latin American Voices
If the only Latin American artist you know is Frida Kahlo, it's time to change that. And at Latin American Voices, a smorgasbord of more than 25 artists hailing from the likes of Cuba, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Peru will be taking part in this segment of the show.
Similar to Photo17, this exhibition will comprise of both nascent and established names, making it a veritable, not-to-be-missed crash course on Latin American art.
Don't think that this is just an esoteric show for art lovers - for those who are simply curious, there will be art tours for kids and adults alike, and daily live painting demonstrations by different artists. Jan 20-22, tickets available here
