Balenciaga closed out day five of Paris Fashion Week with a cinematic panorama of Pierpaolo Piccioli’s vision for the brand. For Fall/Winter 2026, the designer teamed up with Euphoria director, Sam Levinson – a collaboration grounded in their shared interest of “human fragilities and strength”. The 80 co-ed looks presented were amplified by the surrounding atmosphere designed by Levinson, with towering video installations projecting bits of the Euphoria’s upcoming third season.

Titled ClairObscur, the collection explored the dialogue between opposites, as Piccioli puts it, “…a search between darkness and light. A means of defining and describing volume, in these dual extremes we may discover new dimensions.” This metaphor translates into the designer’s exploration of fabric and form – materials that absorb light, illuminating embellishments, and silhouettes that experiment with volume and softness. Marking the Italian designer’s third collection for the brand, this new era highlights a sense of sensitivity, putting forward clothes that truly embrace the body without soulless theatrics.

Below, our favourites from Balenciaga’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection, presented at Paris Fashion Week.

EXCEPTIONAL OUTERWEAR

Outerwear dominated the almost pitch black runway. From supple leather jackets to oversized coats, Piccioli continues to expand his dialogue with the brand’s original founder, Cristobal Balenciaga, in the cocooning silhouettes, sweetheart collars, and hoods that “frame the face like a portrait”. Traces of Demna’s era were visible, especially in the styling choices that deliberately mixed couture sensibilities with streetstyle cues. Laced with fluidity, these outerwear don’t restrict, but grace the human form.

EUPHORIC BURSTS OF COLOUR

As the show progressed, the restrained black colour palette slowly revealed primal colours of red, green, blue, and purple, charging the collection alive with Piccioli’s vision ahead. Sweaters and coats appeared printed with still images from the HBO series, Euphoria, lending them a streetwear edge.

MIDNIGHT DRAMA

Sparkly numbers illuminated the runway. Florals erupted on tailored coats like fireworks, and draping silk evening gowns full of sequins closed out the show. This isn’t merely indulgence, but rather an extent of Piccioli’s exploration between darkness and light. “Embellishments and fabrics can act as painting – here, you can see the light,” he offered.

NEW BAGS TO COP

For the bag aficionados, this season’s offerings rendered the brand’s classic silhouettes in graphics, colourful gradients, and embroidery. In addition, a new sling bag – the George Bag – appeared to join the stunning lineup with an updated BB-emblem and is sure to become one of the next ‘it bags’ once it hits stores.

In partnership with J.M. Weston, heels and chunky loafers were crafted in velvet and leather, forming twists and folds that created visual drama. Sneakers made a notable comeback in contrasting colours, including neon pinks and yellows.
