No season will likely top the buzz from last season’s overflowing group of new designer debuts, but here are some news you should be keeping an eye out for during the upcoming Fall Winter 2026 womenswear shows.

For one, while Dema has been making headway into his vision for Gucci, it’s likely to be more fully crystalised with his first runway show for the Italian house. Other biggies include former Dior CD Maria Grazia Chiuri heading to Fendi - a homecoming of sorts, given that she’d started her career there in 1989 in the Roman brand’s accessories department.

There are younger names well-worth paying attention to too. The widely-acclaimed Rachel Scott of Diotima will be showcasing her first full collection for Proenza Schouler (whose founders decamped to head up Loewe last year).

Over in Milan, Marni is set to have proper direction again with the debut of Meryll Rogge, who succeds Francesco Risso. This Belgian emerging star formerly honed her craft under heavyweights like Dries Van Noten and Marc Jacobs and snagged the Grand Prix at the 2025 ANDAM Fashion Awards, so she definitely sounds promising.

Lastly, Antonin Tron is taking over from Balmain’s long-time creative director Olivier Rousteing, who exited last year (the latter served at Balmain for 14 years and imbued the French house with an air of bombastic glamour). Tron comes with a wealth of experience, having worked at Louis Vuitton, Givenchy and Balenciaga, and founding his own label, Atlein, which is known for a sensual, minimalist-meets-athletic aesthetic since 2016.
