The Chinese market, as we know, is huge for the luxury industry. That's why brands have in recent years started to create dedicated capsule collections for Chinese Valentine's Day, or the Qixi Festival, which this year falls on 14 August.
Even if you're not celebrating this occasion per se, what's worth looking forward to are collections that put love at the thematic centre. These tend to range from whimsical to romantic, but what they really offer is a nice dose of fun before the big Fall/Winter 2021 collections hit.

The classic chain shoulder bag from Prada now comes in a pleasingly pretty lilac colourway.
One of the key motifs from Prada's collection this year are crystals meant to symbolise a bright new season and, indeed, future to come.
Balenciaga's put a furry spin on their signature accessories, and quite naturally in Pepto-Bismol pink.
The heart is an obvious motif, and at Tory Burch it's been rendered in woven leather that you'll find as charms on bags as well as standalone accessories.
Gucci's take on the festival of love is called Gucci Les Pommes. The central motif is a new apple and heart print, combined with the Gucci logo on GG monogram or as patchwork.
Moncler Grenoble marks this festival with a collaboration with Italian brand Naj-Oleari, featuring a heart pattern designed by the latter brand and reimagined by Moncler Grenoble's designer Sandro Mandrino.
Louis Vuitton's "Fall In Love" capsule collection was designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere in shades of red and pink. It features a lipstick motif, either as a scrawled signature on monogrammed canvas or as a charm.
