F ZINE Team’s Purchases Of 2025: What the Editorial Team Is Buying This Year
There’s always an occasion to wear them to.
By Alby Permana,
For some, the year 2025 has been about embracing new things, while others may have stayed loyal to what they know best. Here at F ZINE, the past twelve months have been big on both: from covering the latest must-haves to the revival of fashion’s favourite shoes from the past. But as with any year filled with enthusiastic doom-scrolling and tempting discoveries, not everything (unfortunately) made it beyond our shopping carts. As the year comes to a close, our team looks back on the items that actually got us swiping our cards and truly made us feel good about our spending decisions.

Loafers
“I’ve been on the hunt for loafers with a twist and finally found them in this pair by Marsell. Suffice to say, they’ve been getting a lot of air time.”
Reta Lee, Contributing Digital Editor
“I seem to be gravitating towards the colour pink and I found myself picking up this gorgeous hot neon pink sandals from Prada. It’s such a fun colour and it makes me smile a lot.”

“My best buy of the year has to be this archive Louis Vuitton Limelight clutch from their Spring/Summer 2009 runway. The condition was bad but I made a promise to myself a long time ago and that is to collect Marc Jacob’s Louis Vuitton as much as possible. This bag is just so extra and fun and not to mention the campaign star for that season was Madonna, so yes, I had to have it.”

“My favourite pieces definitely have to come from Modparade, especially this baby pink off-shoulder top that’s become a staple in my wardrobe. The necklace is from @sunnysde_, which I got at one of their pop-ups, and it has since become my go-to accessory.”

“I’ve been trying to introduce prints into my wardrobe, and as someone who loves her button downs, this Drunk Dad top from Zabu was right up my alley. I especially fell in love with that curved placquet — such a unique detail.”

“I rarely buy frameless sunglasses like these, but these Gentle Monster specs were just too cute to pass up.”

“I’d been eyeing this JW Anderson mules-slash-loafers since Jonathan Anderson teased it months before its official release on his personal Instagram. As both a self-proclaimed shoe hoarder and Jonathan Anderson fan, I couldn’t not get my hands on these beaute.”
