The New Oscar De La Renta Is A Smash Hit With Celebrities
The debut collection by the two new designers at the revered house, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, has take the red carpet by storm.

Oscar de la Renta is practically an American institution - it's synonymous with First Ladies, ladies who lunch and elegant princess ballgowns.
With his passing 3 years ago, his former proteges, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, have returned to the house after a short interim headed by Peter Copping who came on board from Nina Ricci.
While critics may not have loved the duo's debut Fall 2017 collection for de la Renta, celebrities and their stylists have gone the other way - it's only been one month exactly since the collection was shown at New York fashion week and nearly a dozen pieces have already been worn on the red carpet.
Will the Oscar de la Renta Fall 2017 collection dominate the red carpet the way the Rodarte Spring 2017 collection did? Here, we take a look at some of the best looks:
#1: Brie Larson
Last year's Best Actress winner (for Room) was the first person to debut a piece from the collection - a one-off black velvet V-neck strapless gown to the Oscars.
At press time, Larson was also the latest celebrity to wear de la Renta, this time to the LA premiere of Kong: Skull Island. Yet again it appears to be a custom piece as the design was not seen on the runway - a spectacular crimson halter tea-length number.
#2: Emma Watson
Beauty and the Beast star Emma Watson is another big fan of the new Oscar de la Renta: she has shown up to her movie's premieres in the label twice. Watson is well known to favour pants on the red carpet, most memorably throwing a forward-thinking Dior dress over pants at the 2014 Golden Globes.
3 years later, Watson continues her winning pants streak with Oscar de la Renta, but with a twist - they're environmentally-conscious pieces.
#3: Ruth Negga
Though Loving star Ruth Negga didn't win the Best Actress Oscar this year (it went to Emma Stone), it's fair to say that she's a big hit in our books for her adventurous streak throughout award season.
Negga turned up at the less serious Vanity Fair after-party in my favourite piece from the collection - a strapless cocktail number with sequins arrayed to look like random drips of paint.
#4: Gugu Mbatha-Raw
Watson's co-star in Beauty and the Beast, Brit actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw may not be as high profile but she's also known for her poised style, picking up this electric blue piece for the LA premiere. In Mbatha-Raw's case, the stunning colour is really all you need to stand out on a red carpet.
