These stores run, so you can perform your best in top-notch gear.
By Cherry Tan,
With running and run clubs surging in popularity across Singapore – it feels like there’s a new one popping up every day – it’s no surprise that more people are looking to upgrade their gear, whether for performance, style, or both. The right pair of shoes (and let’s be honest, a good-looking kit) can make all the difference, whether you're training for a marathon or just joining a casual weekend jog. From niche specialty stores stocking boutique running labels to bigger names offering solid all-rounder options, these stores in Singapore have everything you need to literally hit the ground running.
THE PACE
If you’re serious about running – both in performance and aesthetics – The Pace is an absolute must-visit. This shop is like a runway for runners, stocking performance-driven, fashion-forward sports gear from independent brands worldwide. It’s where you can find the best of both worlds: gear that makes you run faster and look good doing it. Expect premium, hard-to-find names like Norda, Bandit Running, District Vision, and Tannuki – many of which made their Singapore debut right here.
Officially opening its doors in November 2024 at Funan, The Pace is led by Jeri Chua, Singapore’s very own ultramarathon queen. She is also the first Singaporean to qualify for the Ironman World Championship. Jeri’s running resume is as long as her race times, so you can bet every brand stocked here has been carefully chosen with an athlete’s mindset. Translation: it’s as serious as your PB, but way more stylish.
RED DOT RUNNING COMPANY
For runners seeking specialised gear and a supportive community, Red Dot Running Company (RDRC) is basically the holy grail of Singapore’s running scene. Established to cater to the diverse needs of runners – from gritty trail enthusiasts to ultra-marathoners who may or may not secretly be part robot – RDRC offers a curated selection of niche running brands, ensuring athletes have access to top-tier equipment tailored to their specific disciplines.
Because let’s face it, optimal performance isn't just about having the right pair of shoes (though that helps). RDRC also stocks an array of sports nutrition products to fuel you through those long, love-hate relationship runs. Their commitment to the running community is crystal clear. With regular updates on local running crews and events, RDRC helps foster a sense of camaraderie and belonging for anyone looking to find their stride in Singapore’s vast running scene.
UNUSUAL RUNNING
For runners who value both technical performance and urban aesthetics, Unusual Running offers a carefully curated selection that seamlessly blends function with style. Founded by Anthony Ho of Leftfoot fame, this concept store injects a fresh perspective into running gear, standing out in Singapore’s growing specialty running scene.
Stocking brands like Satisfy, On Running, and Arc'Teryx, alongside the usual running suspects like New Balance, Asics, and Hoka, Unusual Running caters to both serious runners and those who simply want high-performance footwear that won’t ruin their street cred. With its sleek, fashion-forward aesthetic, it’s a space where even casual walkers might find themselves tempted to lace up and pretend they’re training for a marathon.
REVERIE RUN CLUB
First launched in 2023 by ultra-endurance athlete and content creator Kharshan Kumar, Reverie Run Club is a young, ambitious brand redefining what it means to run with purpose. After a relaunch in late September 2024, this one-man operation has steadily gained traction within Singapore’s running scene. Offering both lifestyle and performance collections, the brand caters to those who see running not just as a sport, but as a culture and personal expression—because why run when you can run with flair?
Though still in its early days, its growing recognition signals a promising future where performance meets passion. The brand has caught attention with its cap and T-shirt, which showcase bold graphic designs. The Reverie Performance Cap V2, for example, features breathable mesh panels, a lightweight, packable design, and a flexible EVA soft brim. Reflective logos enhance nighttime visibility, while the adjustable stretch cord buckle ensures a perfect fit. Built for fearless dreamers and bold adventurers, this brand is definitely one to watch. Can’t wait to see where this one-man powerhouse takes us next.
