As Mother Monster's only tour stop in Asia, Singapore went gaga for Lady Gaga's Mayhem Tour in Singapore. The multi-hyphenate artist finally returned to Singapore after 13 years, drawing in Little Monsters from all over Asia and the world. Other than her versatility as an artist and performance, something fans can't get enough of is her ahead-of-her-time fashion. The meat dress? That one peformance of Paparazzi at the 2009 VMAs?

Just like Lady Gaga, her Little Monsters pulled out all the stops for the Mayhem tour. From extravagant Gaga-inspired costumes, to toned-down Mayhem-themed outfits, to replications of her most iconic looks, National Stadium was basically transformed into a runway. In this edition of F ZINE People Cam, we feature the stylish Monsters whose outfits were perfect for a night (or four). of mayhem. Scroll on for some concert outfit inspiration.

Name: Gaston Pong

Age: 27

Occupation: Music producer and singer-songwriter

The fit: "I’m wearing a red dip-dye denim jacket from Hugo, it’s bold and looks like it was dipped in blood- kind of gives a Bloody Mary vibe. My sunglasses are Gentle Monster Benven, with that alien, otherworldly look. The pants are red-washed wide jeans from Matter Makers, and the black loafers are from Camperlab- simple, clean, and super walkable."

His personal style: "I’d describe my style as a mix of edgy, street-style, and classic, with a twist. It’s pretty versatile and hybrid. I like blending different influences depending on the mood, but it always has to feel like me."

The Lady Gaga song that best describes him: "I’d say Shallow. It’s the perfect song about wanting something deeper than surface-level connection, that really resonates with me. I’ve always connected more with lyrical Gaga- the emotional, stripped-down side of her songwriting."

His concert must-have: "A portable fan is a must-have, especially if you’re queuing or dancing non-stop. But mine ran out of battery that day… lesson learned the hard way."

His concert ick: "A big ick for me is when someone acts rude or aggressive at concerts- like, chill, we’re all here to enjoy the music. I was lucky for this concert. I sat with other foreign Monsters from Thailand, Indonesia, and China, and everyone was so sweet, some even gave me fanmade stickers. It made the whole experience feel really special."

The fit: "My outfit was inspired by the cover of Applause, and the same look can be seen in its music video. I wanted to do a one-to-one copy of the original outfit, but since I had a lot of time before the concert, I decided to paint a mini mural of Gaga’s most iconic outfits from her ArtRave tour on my white sheet. I got the skinsuit, white sheet, and face paint all from Spotlight."

His personal style: "I don’t think I have a specific style, per se? I usually just go for earthy tones like olive, brown, white, and eggshell."

The Lady Gaga song that best describes him: "I would say The Edge of Glory. In a nutshell, the song is about Gaga’s last moment on earth, and a personal rule I have is to live life like there’s no tomorrow. When I heard this song for the first time, it immediately resonated with me because of this message. Also, the saxophone at the end of the song is just chef's kiss!"

His concert must-have: "Drinks! I’d usually enter the venue slightly earlier to queue up for drinks to keep myself hydrated and energised during the show as all the dancing and screaming will definitely drain me."

His concert ick: "As a vertically challenged person, I don't feel bad saying this: tall people who get floor tickets and don’t know the songs. If you’re tall and you know the lyrics and you’re vibing then it’s justified, I guess. Am I jealous that you have an unobstructed view of the show, though? Yes. But that just means I’ll have to invest in a taller pair of heels next time."

The fit: "I made this outfit myself. It was inspired by Lady Gaga’s Harlequin era where she wore a lot of plaid, and I wanted to do my own take on that. With my love for harajuku fashion and colours, my outfit was light blue instead of black (which was the aesthetic of the tour). I added a veil with blue butterflies last minute after seeing pictures of her in a veil for the show. The only thing I purchased for this look were my Demonia platform boots."

Their personal style: "Harajuku, colourful and fun. I do love my dark outfits but colours excite me more and I plan to design more colourful outfits to wear in the future."

The Lady Gaga song that best describes them: "The song Artpop. I resonate with the lyrics of that track on a deep level and always carry the idea of art for art’s sake into my work. I especially love the lyric: 'my artpop could mean anything.'"

Their concert must-have: "A fan, a bottle of water, and most definitely tissue to wipe the sweat from all the adrenaline."

Their concert hot take: "There’s got to be some kind of test for people going to concerts, especially for artists like Lady Gaga. Some people really be going for songs like Die With A Smile and Shallow, and then expect the whole concert to have that vibe, when she's actually a performance artist. Was kind of ick-ed out when I saw one person in front of me sitting down and scrolling through their phone."

Age: 24

Occupation: Copywriter

The fit: "Well, I had about four options in mind until I saw her Coachella outfit. Specifically, the white outfit for Bad Romance. And voila! That moment meant everything to me, it brought me back to the very first days I saw her on MTV. I made the whole outfit within four weeks. Instead of a precise recreation, I designed my own interpretation of it: longer pants, a less bulky collar, more bejeweled, and softer wings. The biggest struggle was when my supporting tailor was hospitalised. She handed over the wing and ruffles to her aunt. Her aunt turned out to be a decade-long experienced tailor for performers. She just needed a ten-minute briefing and a day and a half to finish the key element! That was a wild experience! I love making concert outfits, it completes my concert experience."

His personal style: "I'm a chameleon. I don’t dress up everyday. But I would choose the perfect moment, not just to “wear”, but to “blend” in occasions and shine with the most unexpected execution. Like at Lady Gaga concerts, I love how ‘chameleons’ show up at once and respect her legacy through thought-out outfits."

The Lady Gaga song that best describes him: "It’s cruel to choose one! But if I had to, it would be The Edge of Glory. Every time I listen to it, I feel like climbing a mountain with high hopes and resilience, all for a well-deserved triumph. It’s all about dedication ‘til the end - and who are we now without such quality?"

His concert must-have: "Chanting. It’s not limited to a fixed chant to a song. It can be a chant to tribute the hardworking performers. A chant to shout out the proud venue (like Singapore). A chant to make every heart pound the same way. The 'c' in 'concert' stands for 'chanting,' so use up your lungs for it!"

His concert hot take: "But when Mother Monster arrives, stand up and scream - that’s how you make the most of your time and money!"

Age: 25

Occupation: Architecture project manager

The fit: “My outfit was inspired by Lady Gaga’s white outfit in her Abracadabra music video and was custom-made by a local costume and dressmaker. I really loved this look from her music video, and I felt that the white matched the aesthetic of her Mayhem era. I also chose this outfit because I really love the lace jacket-cape outer. It adds more drama to the outfit and for a Gaga concert, the more dramatic the fit the better! An interesting thing about this outfit is that the lace train can actually be exended because there's another layer of lace that can be attached to the inner part of the train."

Her personal style: "My personal style is generally casual-comfortable with mostly monochrome colours. For concerts though, I always dress up as extra as possible."

The Lady Gaga song that best describes her: "There are a lot of Gaga songs that I can relate to because lots of her music talks about how we all should be true to ourselves and have the courage to be free to express ourselves, and that message really resonates with me. If I had to pick one, I'd choose Hair from the Born This Way album. It's about self-liberation, the freedom to express your identity, and to always strive to be as free as your hair.”

Her concert must-have: "Portable electric fan! Especially if you’re attending concerts in Asia because it’s going to be hot. Also, a power bank because you’re going to lose your phone battery really quickly from taking pictures and videos!

Her concert hot take: “We should definitely normalise dressing up extra for concerts!"

Tricia Teong

Name: Daniel Ye

Age: Prefers not to say

Occupation: Market researcher

The fit: "I was so happy that some fans recognized my top as a tribute to the Chromatica Ball outfit. The top is purely handmade: sewing and twisting layers of tulle in different colors and textures onto a vest, using wire and boning to build structured shoulders, and decorating pants I got from Taobao with leftover fabric. The choker was the finishing touch; I transformed a basic piece using a drainage tube and metal washer- all from Pinduoduo. I chose this outfit as a subtle nod to Abracadabra and also a thank-you to Gaga. Although she didn’t enjoy the creative process behind Chromatica, she still showed up and encouraged people to persevere through the gloom of the pandemic."

His personal style: "Subtly rebellious and fashionably walkable. I still try to dress appropriately for the occasion. That said, I can’t help but subtly express a sense of contrast."

The Lady Gaga song that best describes him: "Scheiße because I wish I could be strong without the scheiße. This song reveals the truth about freedom: that language (not only from others, but also the kind we direct at ourselves) can be a form of limitation. And that’s something I often have to remind myself of."

His concert must-have: "Mindful and low-carb eating to avoid a food coma. I need to give it all for the show and enjoy the moments with lifted spirits."

His concert hot take: "I hope more people dare to dress up at concerts. It’s the most visible way to show the fan love for the artist. Meanwhile, there are still voices out that demonise self-expression. Dressing up is empowering- it's a response to those voices, and encouragement for others to be themselves."

Name: Brian Lo

Age: 24

Occupation: Environmental management officer

The fit: "My outfit was a combination of store-bought items that I altered myself, and handmade pieces. For example, I cut out one of the sleeves from my top. I made different layers of my outfit: the trousers and maxi skirt. As for my accessories, like my earhooks, rings, belt, and necklaces- I bought them online, like Instagram blogshops and Taobao. My outfit was inspired by Gaga, she always makes a statement with her fashion, and wears a lot of dramatic outfits, so I tried to step out of my comfort zone this time."

His personal style: "I think I'm versatile. I've tried many different styles, and I can totally hold rock many of them. So, I won't trap myself within a single aesthetic- I'd like to carry out different styles."

The Lady Gaga song that best describes him: "Must be Born this way. Everybody should be confident, everyone deserves kindness and joy in the world, cause we were born this way. This song gives me courage, it lets me know that I am born this way."

His concert must-have: "An enjoyable soul. When we go to a concert, we can bring nothing, but we must have an enjoyable soul. We need to be completely immersed in the concert and music, and enjoy that with our whole heart. This is the most important thing for concerts."

His concert hot take: "I believe that the most important thing in the concert is the two-way connection between the artist and fans. Just enjoy the concert!"

Tricia Teong

Name: Audrey Rendora

Age: 27

Occupation: A multimedia artist

The fit: “My outfit was inspired by the song Heavy Metal Lover. I wanted to channel that dark, sultry, electro-rockstar vibe. My hair and makeup, especially the vibrant blue eyeshadow was inspired by one of her red carpet looks for Joker 2. I’m wearing The Monster Ball Tour Heart Between Teeth black denim vest by Haus of Gaga; a tribute to one of her iconic tours. My skirt with metallic silver crosses gives that strong, structured feel that ties into the “heavy metal” part of the look. I paired everything with my vampire boots from Amazon to add height and drama, especially with the teeth for heels. For accessories, I wore black gloves with chains partnered with spikey sunglasses— kind of a nod to Gaga’s early The Fame Monster era. The whole outfit is meant to feel like a mix between glam rock and underground rave- powerful, bold, and unapologetically extra.”

Her personal style: “It's completely mood-driven. One constant, though, is that I’ve been deeply inspired by Lady Gaga since I was 10 years old. Her fearless approach to fashion taught me that style is about expression, not rules. Because of that, I don’t box myself into one aesthetic. Some days I go for a chic, minimal look; other days I lean into bold, fashion-forward pieces or embrace a full punk-rock vibe. Versatility is key for me, I like to surprise people and express different sides of myself through what I wear. Fashion, for me, is personal, emotional, and always evolving.”

The Lady Gaga song that best describes her: “Plastic Doll, specifically the Ashnikko Remix. That version takes the original message and cranks it up with a rebellious, hyper-pop edge that really reflects how I see myself. The lyrics speak to the pressure of being perceived a certain way, of people projecting ideals onto you — like you're supposed to be perfect, passive, or polished. But the Ashnikko remix completely flips that into a fierce, defiant anthem. It’s chaotic, bold, and unapologetic, just like me when I’m fully in my element. I relate to that feeling of the lyrics saying, "All perfect measures, like I was made for your pleasure” speaks to the pressure of being seen as perfect or existing just to please others, like you're expected to fit into someone else’s ideal. And “I gave you all I got, it’s clearly not enough” reflects the frustration of giving your all and still feeling unappreciated. Together, they capture that mix of vulnerability and defiance, realising your worth isn’t based on others’ expectations, but on owning who you are. The energy of the remix captures the contrast in my personality: glam but punk, dignified but daring, cute with claws. It’s feminine rage, confidence, and self-liberation all in one song, and I live for that.”

Her concert must-have: “A tote bag carrying my fully-charged phone, a power bank, bottled water and of course my wallet to buy new merch!”

Her concert hot take: “I might get hate for this but I strongly believe that huge fans should get priority for concert tickets because they’ve invested time, money, and emotion into supporting the artist long before a tour announcement. They stream the music, buy the albums, wear the merch, and build the community that keeps an artist’s career alive. Giving them first access isn’t gatekeeping- it’s recognition. It helps ensure the crowd is filled with people who genuinely care, not just those looking to resell tickets or chase a trend.”

Tricia Teong

Name: Sai Manap

Age: 31

Occupation: Engineer

The fit: "My outfit was my take on the Russian mafia men in the Bad Romance music video. My faux fur coat was something that I already had in my wardrobe. I chose it because it’s similar to the blue fur coat Lady Gaga wears at the end of her performance for the song Killah, but my take on it. The belt skirt is from a South Korean brand called Lecyto. Shorts and singlet are from H&M. My metal facemask is from Aliexpress. Shoes are from Prada."

His personal style: "Unique. I only go for unique items of clothing."

The Lady Gaga song that best describes him: "Paparazzi. Because I’m her biggest fan and I’ll follow her until she loves me."

His concert must-have: "Lots of water."

His concert hot take: "If you wanna sit down during the entire concert, you might as well just watch it on YouTube at home!

Tricia Teong

Name: KM Lee

Age: 30

Occupation: Internet operations manager

The fit: “This whole look was inspired by the lyrics from Born This Way: “Don’t be a drag, just be a queen.” I made the crown with inked drafting paper that I folded into spiky shapes, kind of like her shattered throne in Bad Romance. The bat wings are glued onto Gaga’s iconic monster shoulders, and I’m rocking a Born This Way vest tightened with a thrifted waist-cincher.”

Her personal style: "Athleisure with a neutral vibe.”

The Lady Gaga song that best describes her:  “Born This Way. It’s about being yourself, loving who you are, and being proud. I love myself deeply and feel unapologetically proud of who I am now.”

Her concert must-have: “Lozenges- I’ll be screaming non-stop!”

Her concert hot take: “Concerts should split into standing zones for die-hard fans and seated zones. That way, everyone gets their perfect dose of love and peace.”

Tricia Teong

Name: RY Sarak

Age: 37

Occupation: Banker

The fit: "First, I chose black because it looks simple but still unique and sexy. It suits all skin tones, which for me symbolizes love, inclusivity, and that everyone is unique based on their own individual styles. The sleeveless tank top with eagle wings represents power, just like Lady Gaga’s voice and personality that reach people all around the world. As for the pants, they may look simple at first, but the wide-leg design is very on-trend right now and adds a stylish touch to the whole look."

Her personal style: "I’d say my style is simple but unique, humble, professional, and confident. I like to dress appropriately for the occasion, always choosing outfits that fit the event. I don’t try too hard, but I make sure there’s always a touch of personality in what I wear. I like to keep things clean and put together, often adding some accessories to complete the look."

The Lady Gaga song that best describes her: "I would say How Bad Do You Want Me. Because This song reflects confidence and self-esteem. It’s about knowing your worth and not settling for something less than someone else’s true desires and efforts. I relate to this song because I believe in setting boundaries, valuing myself, and expecting the same amount of energy and passion that I give- and the lyrics carry a boldness, “If you want me, prove it.” It’s empowering without being too loud about it."

Her concert must-have: " Comfortable shoes, 100 per cent you’ll probably be standing or dancing."

Her concert hot take: "I think everyone should be standing and singing along with their idols, just like I did with my friends at concerts for Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Blackpink, and more. It means so much to share that special, unforgettable moment with an artist you love. That’s why I usually try to get standing or VIP tickets. For Lady Gaga, my friends and I booked VIP, and we were standing and singing from start to finish."

Name: Goes by Azhiem

Age: 22

Occupation: National serviceman

The fit: “This was a very impromptu outfit. Most of the pieces I used were items I already owned and clothing pieces that I picked out from my sister's wardrobe. Knowing it was a Gaga concert, I decided to wear something light so I could dance to her music. More emphasis went towards the makeup look inspired by her makeup in the Disease music video!”

His personal style: “My personal style is very much a work in progress. I'm into earthy tones for most of my outfits. Most of my personal style is inspired by people I see on the street and Pinterest.”

The Lady Gaga song that best describes him:Donatella is truly one of the songs that describes me the best. The song is inspired by Donatella Versace, and describes how despite how misunderstood she is, she's still proud of who she is. This is her world, and you’re just living in it- and I really relate to that. This song was the one that made me aware that society was holding me back from living my authentic self which is why this is one of my favourite songs from Gaga!"

His concert must-have: “A portable fan is your best friend. It’s a life-saver especially when you are in a country like Singapore.”

His concert hot take: “My hot take is that you shouldn’t bring your partner or loved ones if they have little to no interest in the artist. You might fear going alone, but I feel like that’s the fun of it. It’s an opportunity for you to make new friends and interact with people who have the same interests as you! Who wouldn’t want that?"
